How it works
Export two reports from Shopify
Export "Total sales by product variant" and "Month-end inventory value" from Shopify with the default settings. Optional: add Month and Product type to the sales report so you can choose which months count.
Drop them in
Drop both reports into the page and it builds your file on the spot. Or download the file and paste them in yourself.
Read the results
Every product gets a weeks-of-supply number and a status flag: Overbought, Reorder, Not selling, or OK. The overstock dollars column shows exactly how much cash is stuck.

Questions
Do I need a Shopify app?
No. The file uses standard Shopify reports you already have. Nothing to install, no app permissions, no recurring charge.
Does it work with Google Sheets?
Not yet. It uses Excel features (LET, VSTACK, dynamic arrays) that require Excel for Microsoft 365 or Excel 2024.
How often should I update it?
Monthly. Export fresh reports once a month and drop them in at retailmesmart.com/build. It takes about five minutes.
What's a good target weeks of supply?
That depends on your reorder lead time and sell-through rate. Most small retailers start with 8 to 12 weeks as a target and adjust from there.
Is my data shared with anyone?
No. Everything stays in your Excel file on your computer. We never see your sales or inventory numbers.
